This company has robbed me blind and continues to do so! I had a squirrel problem in my triplex and hired Trutech for their wildlife removal service. They came out and "supposedly" completed the job and I paid them for it (almost $800). Just a couple of months later, the squirrel problem revealed itself again! I was charged again for going back and dealing with the issue (again almost $800). Now, again, just a few months later, I'm told that there is still a major squirrel issue. They are back and now, I've just received a service order from Trutech for $2,156!!!! What?
These people are thieves! I am so upset that I fell for their scam. Who knows what they're actually doing and how many more times I will have to call them for a job done incompletely and inefficiently. Please do not waste your money or you'll end up paying and paying and paying! I wish I had checked out these reviews before hiring them. I believe Langley is the POC, and I'll be giving her a call shortly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Yolanda P.Covington, GA02Aug 28, 2023
I thought that I was hiring a reputable company that would install pigeon wire professionally on my home. I paid over $1700 for their services only to have the technician do a subpar job and plaster my home with gel dots along with poorly installed pigeon wire. Several neighbors hired other companies, and their homes were done correctly. I'm currently waiting for a resolve from the manager to see about removing the previous job and installing the pigeon wire properly.
The manager gave me quote to remove the wire and reinstall it, but I shouldn't have to pay for the removal of shoddy work to have it redone properly and professionally. I'll post an update with pictures of before and after once I hear back from management.
To be fair, their customer service has been good, the technician who did the install was professional. However, I want what I paid for and for the work to be done properly.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Susan W.MA, MA01Sep 18, 2023
I second the prior reviews here. This company is deceitful, scammy, and terrible customer service -- you should avoid at all cost!
In July 2023, we noticed bird sounds from our fireplace and an unusual number of flies in our home. Upon contacting our regular disinfection company for assistance, they referred us to Truetech Wild Life Service.
Upon inspection, Truetech claimed we had bats in our home and presented us with an extensive and costly project contract. On July 26, 2023, I paid a deposit exceeding $4,000. The company visited our home only twice:
August 22, 2023: Their local branch sealed slightly more than ten holes in our house. On this day, without prior notification, they charged an additional $618 to my credit card. I recall two or three workers who completed the job in under three hours.
August 31, 2023: A single worker sealed the final hole and adjusted our chimney cap, contrary to their promise of installing a new one. This worker also sanitized our attic and fireplace, spending no more than an hour. Notably, before this visit, we had removed a dead bird from our fireplace ourselves.
Just last week, I received an invoice via email, demanding payment of over $900. Attempts to reply to their email were unsuccessful (bounced back). I've communicated my concerns about the discrepancies between the contract and the actual work done via text with the individual who drafted the contract. He acknowledged the oversight and promised a refund. However, the proposed refund amount does not align with the overcharges, and as of now, no refund has been received.
I am growing increasingly suspicious of Truetech Wild Life Service's business practices and am concerned that they might be operating a scam. Be VERY careful when dealing with this company!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - John E.Ponte Vedra Beach, FL03Aug 14, 2023
I called them for an estimate as I believeed that we had an animal in our attic. The tech went into the attic and reported that we had rats. He proceded to show me a tunnel the "rat'' made in the insulation.
Further, he said to seal the house, trap for 5 days and treat for rat droppings which he did not see, would be $2400. To take on monthly treatments for 1 year would bring the total to $4500.
I decided on a second opinion which I got this morning. The "rat " infestation turned our to be a single squirrel who convienently left his paw prints on an HVAC duct. He also made a hole in the ductwork.
Not only did we not have rats, there was no evidence of droppings. Our second opinion company says the squirrel does not need to be trapped just excuded by repairing access areas $895.
Truetech not only doesnot know what they are doing they are not trustworthy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Donna C.Lewisville, TX03Nov 15, 2022
Very disappointed in the amount of money spent vs services received. I got the number from a local 5 Star phone book. Boy did I learn my lesson.
The inspection tech was over 30 min late and didn't call.
i was assured no harmful traps would be set, but they did.
I was told the tech would call me and set up a date and time to install the one-way door. I had to call them. the Tech finally came out and start the process and put the one-way door in, he said we'll give it about a week which he then called the next day to come by and remove it. I had to remind him of their process.
And when all was said and done, the "repair" to the eave was just a piece of flashing over the hole.
Not happy with the service and i would not recommend this company for anything.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Donna G.Atlanta, GA01Mar 21, 2023
This company is absolutely fraudulent!! We called them to do an inspection as we heard activity which we thought was coming from our attic. A technician came out, "inspected" our attic, and reported that we had a female pregnant raccoon living up there. He reported torn insulation and even said she started walking toward him. He wrote up a $13,000 (yes, $13,000) estimate for removal and repairs. This seemed outrageous so we got a second opinion. New company started with an outside inspection and could not find any entry points into my home, just damaged shingles as the raccoon had attempted to get in. Attic inspection was clear and there was no entry or damage. The raccoon was caught overnight on the side of my home and it turned out to be a male. Find a local company who won't try to rip you off.

Nate was to have performed an inspection of my home for a possible mole infestation on 2/17/2022 between 2:00pm & 4:00pm. I took half a day vacation to be present for the appointment.
Nate never showed up, later claiming he was not aware of the appointment. Apparently, the front office did not bother to communicate with Nate about his schedule. I called the office at 4:10pm to find out when Nate would show up and asked for a return call. The call never came.
Nate emailed me a short time later offering to re-schedule the appointment for the following day (2/18/2022) between 1:00pm - 1:30pm which would have required me to waste a second half day vacation.
This company is showing itself to be unreliable at best.
Take a good look at how this company operates and do yourself a favor... TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE !!!!!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Deb V.Bunnell, FL017Jan 2, 2022
I called Trutech for help what I thought was an Armadillo. The gentleman that came confirmed it. Said it was $600 to trap them. They set up the traps and evidence showed he was trying to get in but didn't get in the trap. After four tried they removed the traps. That's all I get for $600? Of course, he came back the next night and the next.
I am new to Florida and know there are all kinds of creatures living amongst us. But I believe I was taken advantage of and the person who came out knew that. I assumed they would try to trap it until they caught. The tech even said they are hard to trap. So, keep the trap there until it is caught. We knew where it was coming in and is now still coming in. Leave it there until it's caught and I will call you to come and get.
Don't use them! Then they offered to spread something on my lawn for $75 a month. I am canceling that if I can get ahold of them. I will be lucky if I can. I'll put stuff down myself. The guy even suggested putting stuff at the bottom of my fence, but told me it would cost $2,000. Good thing I didn't fall for that one. Skip this company.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shary T.McLean, VA1418Mar 30, 2023
one is too much. they showed up and didn't have the material needed to fix the problem they were called to fixt, first sign we should have called another company. they came out this past friday and supposedly put gel in and be back in 2 days to fill the hole from the woodpeckers that were doing such severe damage to my home. The initial guy that came out with no material said you need to wait a month or they will drill new holes and create more damage and destruction to the home. Well, they came back 2 days later and charged me another $250 in addition to what they originally charged me which was approximately $400 because they said it would take a very long time to fix this problem. They were out for 10 minutes the first time and then filled it in 10 minutes 2 days later and we NOW have multiple holes and they opened up the first and only hole. So, they made the problem WORSE and charged me double what they said. Please do yourself a favor, this company can NOT be trusted. Call another company !!

I called them after hearing something running around in my walls and attic. The tech was nice, he laid some traps for rats, diagnosed the hole that they were coming through, and scheduled someone to come seal it up. Someone else arrived and sealed it up, then quoted me a different price than the first tech for both the sealing service and coming back to check the traps. I paid him for sealing it up because I had agreed to it, but I would talk to the other tech or whoever came to service the traps because it was a different price than I was quoted.
I got a call from the original guy who told me that he fixed the price in the system and I could pay when they came back to finish the service.
Eight weeks later, nobody had come back to check the traps in my attic and I'm getting bills for a service that was never completed. I called them and they basically did nothing, just put in for the guy to call me. He never called me and they sent my bill to a collections agency. I just paid $400 for service I never got.
Stay away.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
