A quality, custom made product. Fair pricing and of all the customers we have meant , all are well experienced and knowledgeable.

I was quite disappointed with the product and customer service.
They came out THREE times to install the shutters because they got measures wrong TWICE! Once they finally got the measurements correct, they came out to install the shutters. They are flimsy and honestly look cheap. Had I known this was going to be the final result, I would have simply asked for a refund. Instead, I made the mistake of accepting the $600 reimbursement for their inability to take proper measurements, twice...

Flaps are flimsy and don't stay in place. No matter how you try to arrange them, they just keep moving out of place.

Also, original agreement was that the shutter would cover the window frame, as you can see, it doesn't. Welp, you get what you pay for, I guess. Should have listened to that 3.8 star review ‍

We had an excellent experience with Avalon Shutters via Home Depot. They remained professional from beginning to end. Also, they were responsive when scheduling appointments for the consultation and installation. Our salesperson, Toney, was friendly and knowledgeable about the product. He offered recommendations on what would look best for our home. We decided on 3 1/2" louvers with split tilt Z-frame white shutters throughout our two-story home.

Surprisingly, our shutters arrived earlier than expected, which was between 4-6 weeks. Our installer, Rodd, was punctual, efficient, and detail oriented. The quality of the shutters were to our expectations for the value that we paid. We are satisfied with the final outcome and have no issues. We would highly recommend Avalon Shutters for affordability, quality, and customer service.

Raised prices to offer more discounts. Final price is still higher than others and I heard they are losing their contract with Home Depot

our Avalon Shutters installed throughout our home. they are Fabulous. The construction and quality of the shutters is excellent. Our Rep Gary measured perfectly and presented the installation process to us. Our installer Josh was fast efficient and very clean. We are delighted with our purchase. I highly recommend Avalon Shutters.

To whomever it may concern


I spoke with one of the ladies today in the scheduling department and insisted that the original appointment and measurements took place on the 29th of November, clearly on the attached document you can see that ential measurements were 3 weeks prior. 


In addition when I contacted by your department last week to schedule today's appointment she clearly stated that she had availability to Install on Monday Dec 4th between 11-1pm. Now come to find out that is not how the process works and today's appointment is actually a secondary measurement before production to begin with the Shutters. Also informed it will take 3-4 business to produce and then install would be set at an appropriate time and date thereafter. 


I say all this to note that Naomi did not inform me of this process when scheduling and then this morning when Erin I believe called, she was rude over the phone, spoke over me and acted like I was supposed to know your procedures and protocols as a company. Me being in customer service industries for 20+ years I will say her attitude and manner is completely unprofessional and exspect that this would be addressed. 

Hopefully the production and install goes smoother than this so far considering I've already paid them the $2480 for the 2 shutters

We absolutely LOVE our Shutters! They all turned out so great!

We began working last year with an Avalon Shutters representative and they completed all windows in our home

Did NOT get what both my husband and I thoroughly described we wanted to the Avalon Shutters In-Home Sales Consultant, Silvanna Smith. Avalon is the provider Home Depot's uses. In good faith, we placed an order for 3 1/2 inch faux wood Plantation Shutters for 2 windows. The total cost came to just under $1,300, which we were asked to pay in-full, up-front, by Silvanna. Since we had Plantation Shutters installed in our previous home, we knew exactly how we wanted them configured and communicated that directly to Silvanna BEFORE she wrote up our order (that the panel on the center left folds over the panel to the left, and the panel on the center right folds over the panel to the right, essentially framing the window). We trusted that Silvanna was experienced and knowledgeable and knew how to write up the order for the product she was selling so the customer would get exactly what they wanted and paid for. I even questioned her as to whether the refrigerator to the left and the air handler to the right of the window, would have enough clearance. Nothing Silvanna said nor showed us while she was here or quickly reviewing our order led us to believe that she hadn't understood exactly what we wanted and expected. The configuration we specified allows the option of the shutters being fully open to allow more light in and a full view of the back yard, the option of privacy when the 4 panels are closed and the slats slightly open, and the option of room darkening when fully closed. The configuration we asked for also allows that the desk we had in front of that window, be put back there without the risk of someone hitting their head when the 2 center panels are open and sticking out into the room!

To our dismay, and despite our thoroughness, Silvanna did not place our order as my husband and I both clearly specified. Not safe, nor what we paid almost $1,300 for! We trusted that Silvanna had listened and written our order up as requested. Silvanna gave us no indication that she was confused or didn't understand exactly what we wanted. She even commented that it was good that we wanted "faux wood" as the configuration my husband and I described to her was only available in faux wood, due to the weight! Funny thing, Avalon's installer told us the exact opposite - that the "wood" shutters were lighter than "faux wood" and only wood shutters can be configured to fold over.

Silvanna's supervisor said that she would "talk to her", but that Avalon couldn't do anything for us because we should have caught Silvanna's error. The tech who came out to get the "exact" measurements, whom Silvanna informed us was coming only to get "exact" measurements that we would have to sign off on, did not review how the shutters would open.

After we were essentially told "tough luck", that it was our fault their salesperson didn't order the shutters as we had thoroughly explained, we were told that if we didn't "sign" for the shutters as delivered (and, we were specifically told we were NOT allowed to write that the shutters were "NOT WHAT WE ORDERED" - basically we had to lie and say we were happy with what we were stuck with), the installer would remove the shutter they already installed (thus risking damage to something the Avalon supervisor clearly stated they had no intention of replacing with the shutters we thoroughly described we wanted to their sales person, and leave with it and the one that had not yet been installed). So essentially, we would have spent almost $1,300 for NOTHING, have no window coverings, and be forced to take Avalon to small claims court if we refused to accept the shutters "as is", just to get what we ordered and paid for!!!

That being said, the shutters look nice and aren't horrible quality - our issue is that they are NOT CONFIGURED as we specifically requested! Bottom line - it's fair to expect exactly what we asked and paid for and not be forced to sue or accept anything less.

We are very happy with our new shutters. Ilona was very knowledgeable helping us decide to style we wanted. David and Jessie were very professional on the install. We are very happy with the whole process. Thank you! From Billy Bidal

Do not use this company!

They took 2 days to measure our windows & 1 door.

I spent 2 days preping my windows, removing the valences & blinds + patching.

2 weeks went by then the installers showed up. After an hour they called me down from my office. 2 of the larger windows were designed wrong! One window was measured wrong! (Really?)
I called and left a message to the sales rep but never received a call back!

I would never recommend this company.

Paying 8K for a job and this is the service we get?

I now have empty windows, make shift blinds and it looks horrible!

These people are incredibly incompetent.
