My water heater started leaking and I called them. They had a technician out here in an hour! The technician attached the water supply lines so I will have water for the night, the leak was bad! He told me about my options and I decided to go with the best water heater. The work was incredible! Toby Curtis was the technician that installed my water heater. He takes incredible pride in his work! He's a cool guy too. Very professional and I know my new water heater will last many, many years. I did what I could to hire the best! This is my home and I do not cut corners. Toby was very patient and honest. He asked if I plan to stay here or move, I told him my plans are to stay. He then suggested the correct water heater for my situation. You do get what you pay for and I am very happy with my decision. I'll be calling them again for future work for sure!

So overpriced it's insane. Was charged at least three times the price for basic electrical work. And the upsell of all the other things they wanted to do...
Would not ever ever recommend. Avoid at all costs.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

George Brazil is a rip off! We've been a loyal customer for 16 years and found out there's issues with our system that they should of replacing when we originally bought a unit in 2008. Now they want us to pay for the part that they didn't replace in 2008. We've been loyal customers and they're not willing to help us out at or to keep our business.
Don't use them there techs are commission basedHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Beth W.Mesa, AZ09May 2, 2024
ZERO stars. Do not waste your money on this company for your cooling/heating needs. We have had nothing but problems and the customer service is the absolute worst. There's nothing like getting the ol' runaround by a company that has their head up their ass. Thanks guys!

I had a blown capacitor, $25 part, replaced. The technician was fantastic, very detailed in his explanation of the work and the process for him to test everything. Took about two hours. These guys charged $520 for that job. Apparently when you contract George Brazil you pay parts, labor, and someone's car payment. The whole time they were trying to sell me on service contracts, warranties, etc. Why would anyone get a warranty on a $25 part?

We had what I would consider extensive electrical work done. The house is almost 50 years old. We had all of the electrical switch plates and outlets replaced as well as the circuit breaker boxes. We were told there was a short in the wiring in the attic. We also had 3 fans replaced (laundry room and 2 bathrooms). I did not realize wiring for the smoke detectors would also be checked. The total cost was almost $13,000 and this was with a discount for buying their membership program.
This house is paid off. I have been upgrading projects throughout the time we have lived here. My dad owned an electrical repair business, all my uncles were also tradesmen--plumbers and carpenters. I think I am a pretty decent judge of work product.
There are gaps where I have to match 10--15 year old paint for the smoke detectors. There is a copper wire running from the roof to a plate on the front of the house--makes me feel a little weird. I called and asked about this and was told it was a normal process. I have owned 5 houses and have never seen this before.
There were gaps in the bathroom fan in the bath attached to the master bedroom--about 1/2" after the new fan was installed. There were cracks in the family room ceiling and the laundry room after the electricians were up in the attic. I called about these. Then I called my insurance company (USAA) 2x to explain this was not regular 'settling', there was no evidence of this until the workers were in the attic. After the 2 calls to the insurance company, George Brazil sent out a company to do those repairs at no further cost to me.
This is our home. We live here. I have spent about $100K in upkeep and remodeling of the house (not including yard/landscaping) since 1998 including this cost.
The workers were pleasant and unobtrusive. I am giving them 2 stars because they should have recognized the issues described above. (I was not home--was working during the completion stages and have made adult son who was on the premises aware of how to check end work product.) I am not sure if I would use them again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

very scammy operation with unmarked trucks and no confirmation emails per appointments. Guy showed up with a weird smile and tried to get me to agree to a $20k replacement for a 3-ton without even looking at my old system. Any request for the quotes in writing is denied. Never do business without emails, word to the wise.

It blows me away there aren't more regulations over the HVAC industry and the prices they charge. Especially in climates where without AC, people die. Yesterday I noticed our AC was blowing hot air. Called George Brazil, and surprisingly they got someone out in two hours, awesome. Took the guy less than five minutes to diagnose the problem, bad capacitor. When I asked how much to replace it, $560. I just about fell over. A couple years ago it was $350, which was ridiculous for a $20 part and less than 10 minutes of work to replace it. Why aren't more people calling theses companies out for this blatant highway robbery?!

Hello, Drew. Thank you for your feedback. As you know, prices have gone up in all industries over the past couple of years. Our prices for parts have also gone up. Our technicians are highly trained and knowledgable, and our company has been around for a long time, not a small start-up that might not be around to warranty that part if it fails. We are glad we could make it out to you right away and fix your problem but we are sorry to hear you are not pleased with the end result. I will Direct Message you here on Yelp if you would like to discuss your experience further. Thank you again for your feedback.

Tech came out and said my entire AC Unit needed to be replaced. I got a second opinion and it cost me a few hundred bucks to repair. First off my unit was 3 years old...All my unit needed was a capacitor and a few other parts and it lasted me another 6 years before I sold my home. Shady business. Don't trust them, feels like they work off of commissions so it's not in your best interest. Red carpet and slip over shoes fools people on the integrity of your business.

I'm single mother of 4 and my A/C went out on 07/11. The only good thing I can say about this experience is they came and fixed it the same day. So my DUAL CAPACITOR went out and on their website it's states $237-$541. I was charged $611 and I understand taxes but why was I charged $611 for a $15 part. Why was I charged on the higher end of the quote? My A/C is easily accessible, in the backyard on the ground. Is it because I'm a naive woman? The technician that came was very pushy and condescending. I asked simple questions and he stated," what are you not understanding?" Instead of being kind. I obviously know nothing about A/C repair but it'd be nice to know what they are doing and why I'm being charged. I've called around multiple places since and all of them have quoted around $200.
