They think that requesting a list of providers is a HIPAA violation. Their site doesn't allow you to see the names, addresses, NPIs, or even just the specialty of the physician. You just have to request an appointment blindly (no pun intended). I asked them specifically to NOT call me, and within seconds of clicking the submit button for more info (where I put in the comments to NOT call me, to please just email me the list of doctors because it wont show up on their site), they called me anyway. I couldn't get a word in, Tevin just kept talking with his sales pitch.
Anyone with two brain cells knows that it isn't a HIPAA violation to ask for a doctor's name and NPI. Please retrain your staff on HIPAA guidelines and what is and isn't a violation. It's interesting because at least one of Juan's responses does get close to a violation. Maybe use that as an example.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for bringing this experience to our attention. QualSight LASIK works with locations in your area to get you exact contracted rates and our providers require us to schedule your appointment with them on a 3 way phone call. A phone call is generally our first step to build a profile for you and match you with surgeons in the area after going through pre-screening questions. After your initial call we are happy to email over the name of the providers we discuss. Our agents are available 5am-5pm and Saturdays 7am-1pm PST/PDT. However, we understand in some situations this may be difficult and I will have someone in our management team reach out to you with the surgeon information requested via email.

I reached out to get some more information from QualSight because my employer was offering a discount. I scheduled a phone call twice with a representative and both times he never called. Not even worth the discount, I will be going elsewhere and not wasting my time.

I find it interesting, and a little concerning, there does not appear to be any recent Yelp reviews for QualSight Lasik since 2017? I am evaluating QualSight, as they have just been added to my company benefits.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. QualSight is a LASIK benefit program that gives patients a discounted price on LASIK in their area. Our customers often review their LASIK experience with the office that performs their surgery. At QualSight our goal is to get you the best benefit pricing with an exceptional surgeon. Looking at your area, QualSight works with an office in San Francisco where their typical pricing is $6,400-$6,800 and the QualSight benefit price range is $3,590 - $3,790. We would be happy to review your exact pricing if you would like to contact us at 855-800-2020 to schedule a free appointment.

Sketchy business practices, poor customer service, and misleading communication.
Depending on your situation, their pre-arranged rates with LASIK providers may be acceptable, but they play hide-the-ball tactics with the fee they charge you. When you pay out of pocket, there is no "deposit" or "down payment", it's two entirely sperate charges, 1) The cost of the procedure charged by and paid to the LASIK provider, and b) QualSight Fee charged by and paid to QualSight.
And don't ask to have that $500+ confusion clarified, since they will suggest they will cancel your appointment if you don't immediately pay despite having already purchased all of the required prescriptions and taken scheduled time off work. And don't expect a call back when they say they will follow up and call back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We take customer service seriously and do not want to be misleading or deceptive. I understand you spoke with our Provider Finance manager, who explained the QualSight process and how we are able to provide you with a substantial discount. We reviewed your account and confirmed with the office your pricing would have been $5,800 -$6,200. We were able to save you more than $2,000 on your procedure. We appreciate your feedback, feel free to contact me at 773-632-4119 with further questions or concerns.

I had wanted to have Lasik corrective surgery for many years. Always made an excuse or thought it was too costly. But I finally made the decision to have the surgery and I am so pleased with the results.
The crew at the Lasik Vision Institute was so positive and personable. Every one of them made me feel comfortable and they always took the time to treat me like a valued customer and patient. I have nothing but great things to say about the whole experience and highly recommend this procedure and facility to everyone interested in seeing without corrective lenses.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 15166260Feb 6, 2016
I have had bad vision ever since I can recall. Lasik was never an option until recently due to my ever changing vision. I contacted Qualsight (I got a discount from my company to go through them) and spoke to Ashley Wolfe, where I learned that I could get a free eval and information to see if it was an option for me, since none of my eye doctors would provide me with info (so frustrating). She also told me her Lasik story and helped calm my initial nerves. Within 2 weeks I had my eval and less than a week after that I had the actual procedure. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Loved my doctor and everyone I came in contact with along the way. Thank you Ashley and Qualsight for guiding my now perfect vision journey and for an affordable price!!!!

Great customer service! I was interested in getting LASIK and after looking around online, I found that QualSight had the best reviews! The only negative aspect was that QualSight did not specify online that they are only a call center and they do not actually handle the procedure- I was excited that the Rosemont location was so close to home, but the drive I eventually had to make out to Oakbrook wasn't the worst. That being said, QualSight definitely delivered what they promised! Because I went through them to set up my consultation appointment, the actual LASIK procedure ended up costing significantly less than it would have otherwise. If you don't mind that the procesure location isn't actually in Rosemont, then I highly recommend going through QualSight LASIK!!

Found out about QualSight thru my employer. From the beginning to the end everyone was really professional and very nice. Best surgery ever. Painless and super fast. I can see better than 20/20 now. Highly recommended.

I first heard about Qualsight through my health care plan options. I contacted them right away and spoke with Jeff Zapata. He was very helpful and knowledgeable on the providers in my area in the New York/New Jersey region. He explained the entire process, including the various options and costs associated with them.
I thought about it and did some research for some time before I asked him to set up an appointment for screening and evaluation. I was setup with Dr. Garrana of Lasik Vision Institute, who is a fantastic and reputable doctor with tons of experience. I was eligible for custom lasik and went through the process the next day after my evaluation results. The operation went very smoothly, and after a few hours of slight discomfort (think the equivalent of eyelashes stuck in your eyes) I could see 50% better. The next day, I could see 70% better, and each day it was slowly improving. It has now been 6 weeks and I can see 90% better than I used to pre-operation. The doctor told me it will get even better in the coming weeks.
All in all, I would certainly recommend Qualsight and Dr. Garrana as well (although I am sure that all the doctors who work with them are great). This is a life-changing procedure and one should definitely do it to get rid of glasses, contacts and the issues that come with them.
P.S make sure to follow all the pre and post operative instructions thoroughly in order to have the best results!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
